Huzat?

Please remember to enjoy kittens and their furry furry tails. But don't eat them; kittens are not for eating. Even if you are really hungry and you have a cat shaped piece of bread. Because if you eat a cat you will get cat hair in you mouth. Dude just trust me on this one.
If you are really good (and you stop chewing on that kitty) then maybe Bizzaro Santa will come and give you a elephant blanket out of which you can fashion a magical tent. I suppose you could then enter said magical tent, but no one has ever returned from such a harrowing journey. So I usually just set the magical elephant tent on fire and be done with it.
Also, please keep in mind that even when it is really really late at night, you never ever EVER will have more than one left foot. Except for you. Yeah you, weirdo. How do you buy shoes? Honestly.
Flinky minky buttons and spice. Rhinos are governors and sometimes eat rice. I enjoy fishing but not all the seals; remember with donkeys you can't cop a feel.

Amway is not anyway

Bit of news:
-Yesterday (the thirteenth) was the one-month anniversary of the site, with an update everyday too! Yay us! We are so dedicated.
-All my comic type stuff I have every done ever is now back online! Right now hosted on tripod, but hopefully later on something a little bit more permanent. Anyway, the “Project” area is now not home to just one of my projects, but to all the Halflight author’s various projects. Which currently consist only of my comic type stuff, but soon will be my other artwork, and anything Shea wishes to put up there. And I have been kicking around the ideas to a couple of other website/coding type projects that might surface sometime in the future. Anyway, the place to find that sort of stuff is over there on the left.
-Uh. I had a fun and very eventful day, but am too drained by it all to type anything remotely coherent and/or entertaining, so I will post a bunch of stuff tomorrow (later today actually since its past midnight now)
Gah, I know that “I have wonderful things to tell you later” posts are dull, gomen gomen.
Ja matta.

Choo choo!

My web-train brought me here today. It confused me.

Ahead monkey factor 7

I have been drawing figures with anime proportions for so long now that when I look in the mirror, I think that the image is off. My neck is not thin enough, my limbs not long enough, and what is with those beady eyes and boring hair? Hehehe, hooo. What time is it?
I am supposed to get up tomorrow at a decent hour to go to the zoo with a good friend of mine, assuming that I can get in contact with her sometime. I am looking forward to upping the monkey factor of my day by nearly 500%.
Uh, comparatively big site update tomorrow sometime as well, after the monkeys I mean. So, uh, stay tuned. Or whatever. I don’t know.

Well, it looks like everything is back to normal now. Either Ian tinkered with things or they miraculously fixed themselves. I'm happy either way. Well I am off to Branson now to hang out with the band guys. More news soon!

Hmmm...

Ok yeah, there appear to be major problems in Halflight-land. All of Ian's images are broken and the comment link has dissapeared. I would investigate, but I'm afraid I don't have admin. access so I'll have to wait till Ian gets around to it. *prod* Although perhaps soon our woes will be gone, since we are thinking about moving off of blogspot and getting an actual honest-to-Jebus domain name. But first we have to rip it from the evil clutches of some company that has rights to the name. They say it might be available for purchase so we'll see. Anyway, I need to sleep now so thats all for now. Out.

Script Kiddies make baby Jesus cry

So I was going to work up an official page for my new comic project today, and post some character sketches and script excerpts that I have been working on. But then I got mblasted. Whenever I turned my computer on, a friendly little message would pop up, informing me about something or another in a string of technobabble, and then promptly turn my computer back off again. Bastards! So I spent my time this morning fixing this little issue. So none of you get any new drawings because I have no time to put everything up. On top of that, the archives here are all fubar'd. Everything is broken! Back to the fixing table...

Lyrics...

I never wanted to hurt you
I don't care what they say
I never tried to give you the wrong impression

I never meant to break you
with the stupid games that I play
but regardless of my intentions

I'm still a breaker of innocent hearts

Linkogram!

Hey troopers.
I have been reading this comic for a while now, on and off due to the artist’s rather lackluster (but very familiar) updating schedule. It’s very good. Her art is also well done and quite unique stylistically, if you are into that sort of thing. But I decided to type up this little ditty to point you in the direction of her blog. At least I think it is her blog. Now that you mention it I am not even sure it is her. But it’s a good blog none the less. And it reminded me of this illustrious person’s method of speaking. Anyway, click some of these links and stop listening to me now.

Waiting...

I feel an oppressive weight pressing down on me all the time these days. It weighs on my heart, my mind, my very soul. It’s more than boredom, not quite loneliness, different than the anxiety caused by inaction. I feel as if the whole world is spinning around me, but I am unable to join them. They are the storm and I am the eye, always untouched by the maelstrom but irretrievably connected to it. I feel as if I am floating, unanchored, lost. I wish to be swept away by the currents, even if it means being dashed against the rocks downstream. I want to jump in headfirst, even if the water is dangerously shallow. But I can’t, and so I must wait. Wait and watch and listen and hope. But words can only go so far, hopes fade, dreams become regrets.
The worst part is not going on stage, but the sleepless night before, when more than anything you wish it could be the day after tomorrow, but it can’t. So you wait, lost and lonely, tossing and turning.
Life goes on all around me, but still I must wait.
